Private, corporate, and scheduled culinary lessons
- How to sign up for a weekly cooking class?
The easiest way is to email us with the number of participants, each participant’s name, and the class name and date you’d like to attend. Our current schedule for regular group classes is posted

- What types of private cooking workshops do you offer?
We host a wide variety of private events, including Bachelorette Parties, Showers, Birthday Parties, Anniversary Celebrations, Family Reunions, Weddings, Farewells, and Girls’ Night Out gatherings. Group discounts are available for qualifying bookings.
- How to arrange a private cooking workshop?
If you're interested in booking a private cooking workshop, please email us with the following details. We look forward to helping you create a memorable cooking experience!
- The estimated number of participants;
- Your preferred date(s);
- The menu or specific dishes you'd like to prepare;
- The location for the workshop (please note that sessions can be held at your place, with a possible setup fee);
- Any additional questions or special requests.
- Do you offer private cooking sessions at people’s homes?
Yes, we frequently provide private cooking classes at our clients' homes. No fancy kitchen is needed, and you don’t need to purchase anything for your cooking event — we bring all necessary ingredients and stuff required for the session. Please note that a setup fee may apply depending on your location.
- May I choose individual dishes for my private or corporate cooking event?
Absolutely! You are welcome to select your own menu or individual dishes.
- What types of corporate events do you host?
Create a personalized cooking session for any corporate occasion, including Team Building Activities, Farewells, Alumni Reunions, and Working Lunches or Dinners. Group discounts are available.
Cooking Classes for Children
- Do you offer any cooking lessons for children?
Yes, we do! Most of our children's cooking lessons are currently private sessions, often arranged for birthday parties and similar special occasions.
- Are children eligible to register for any regularly scheduled weekly cooking classes?
For all classes except those specifically for children, parents or guardians registering participants under 18 must enroll in the same class and accompany them for the entire session. In such instances, the rate for children is the same as for adults.
Instant Gift Certificates etc.
- How to Order a Gift Certificate?
To order a gift certificate, please send in your instructions by email, including the following optional information:
- The names of the gift recipients;
- The names of the gift givers;
- The denomination;
- A very short greeting, such as Happy Mother's Day, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, Thank You, Happy Anniversary, or Happy Valentine's Day!
- Do you sell personalized gift certificates?
Yes, every gift certificate is personalized based on the purchaser's preference and instructions.
- How long would it take for a gift certificate to be received?
Usually, a gift certificate can be customized and then e-mailed out within an hour after the payment has been received. Mostly, it takes less than 30 minutes.
- Is there an expiry date on a gift certificate?
No.
- When ordering, do I need to choose a certain class for the gift recipient(s)?
No, you don't have to. The gift recipient(s) can determine what class to register for.
- How to redeem and use gift certificates?
With a gift certificate, one can sign up for any types of cooking classes, including the weekly scheduled classes, private and in-home cooking lessons. When registering, please email us the number of your gift certificate(s).
- Do you have any gift items available?
Yes. In addition to our unique gift certificates that are very popular, people also like to purchase a certain cooking lesson as a gift. Furthermore, our brand new embroidered aprons are available for people to buy as an awesome gift. Different sizes available. More information can be found at chinesecookingstudio.com/store.html.
Certificates of Participation
- Can I get a Certificate of Participation?
After the participation in a course, one can apply for a
Certificate of Participation in writing. Certificates of Participation are issued upon request. Electronic versions only.
Payment Options
- How to make a payment through Interac e-Transfer, a.k.a. Interac Email Money Transfer?
If you bank online, you should be able to use it to send money.

- May I write you a cheque?
Yes, both personal and corporate cheques are accepted. No post-dated cheques, please. Detailed instructions available upon request.

- Are there any gluten-free cooking classes at your cooking school?
Yes. Some of our scheduled classes are totally gluten free, and some others may have gluten-free options. Please email us to verify before you sign up.
- Do you offer any vegetarian (or vegan) classes?
Yes, we do have some classes suitable for vegetarians (or vegans). Please email us to verify before you register.
- I am allergic to certain food ingredients such as peanuts and shellfish, is it possible to accommodate me?
Yes, that is possible. Please be advised to verify via email before you sign up for a class.
